#whyiloveGero Banners Photography Competition Winners

Late last year, I decided to get involved in the #whyiloveGero Banners Photography Competition being held by the City of Greater Geraldton. The lucky winners would have their photos printed on the banners that are displayed on Marine Terrace - our main shopping strip located in the centre of town.

The image criteria was to demonstrate why you love Geraldton. Being such a keen photographer, I knew I would have some suitable shots that captured this proud theme. I selected the following five images to submit to the competition and shared them online using the #whyiloveGero hashtag.

And the Winners Are...

I went along to Christmas on the Terrace and attended the announcement of the winning entries. I was thrilled to discover that not one, but three of my images were selected as winners! After the formalities were completed and the sun started to drop, all of the #whyiloveGero competition entries were projected above CottonOn for everyone to see.

See Them for Yourself

Roll around to February 2017 and the winning banners have just gone up! Go and see them for yourself next time you stroll down Marine Terrace, Geraldton. Here are my three winning photographs - one of my crayfish shots, my friendly seal and my nephew Ned! He's pretty excited to have his very own banner. Many thanks to the City of Greater Geraldton for the opportunity and congratulations to everyone selected.
